That\u2019s why it\u2019s important for the firm to work alongside construction specialists who <strong>care about people and the planet<\/strong> just as much as they do.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since its inception, Agilit\u00e9 has focused much energy on establishing <strong>trusted relationships<\/strong> throughout the European<strong> supply chain<\/strong> \u2013 and when it enters a new geographical market, the same search for potential <strong>strategic partners<\/strong>, unfolds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An essential component of the construction industry, the supply chain comprises organisations of all sizes and specialism \u2013 therefore, establishing a <strong>partner code of conduct<\/strong> was essential to support the wider work Agilit\u00e9 was undertaking, in its bid to become a more <strong>sustainable business<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim of this project was to reaffirm lasting<strong> commitments<\/strong> to its trading partners, but also to reform the partnership process for the future. We are talking about the integration of official policies and selection criteria in the <strong>selection of new suppliers<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agilit\u00e9\u2019s collaboration with A Beautiful Green was destined to lay the foundation for a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abeautifulgreen.com\/en\/responsible-purchasing-policy\/\"><strong>sustainable procurement strategy<\/strong><\/a> for the group. Therefore, one of the objectives of this project was to identify the existing suppliers that would comply with Agilit\u00e9\u2019s social and environmental <strong>commitments<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As such, A Beautiful Green worked with Agilit\u00e9 to:<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner Agilit\u00e9\u2019s <strong>responsible purchasing program<\/strong>\u00a0seeks to build a supply chain which understands \u2013 and shares \u2013 its <strong>guiding principles<\/strong>. For the client, <strong>sustainable procurement<\/strong> is about working with partners to ensure<strong> long-term benefits<\/strong> to the economy, communities, and environment \u2013 to deliver best <strong>value<\/strong> for Agilit\u00e9\u2019s customers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a result of this project, Agilit\u00e9 has been able to gain better visibility of how its supply chain operates \u2013 meaning the <strong>trade relations<\/strong> of the future will be based on collaboration and<strong> mutual trust<\/strong>. What\u2019s more, as <strong>legislation<\/strong> affecting supply chains evolves, each trading partner will have to be held<strong> accountable<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to comply with Agilit\u00e9\u2019s need to create the optimum combination of suppliers, A Beautiful Green provided a sustainability questionnaire that will be sent to every potential supplier to support the<strong> selection process<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because Agilit\u00e9\u2019s <strong>responsible procurement process<\/strong> is continuous, we also gave them the tools to<strong> self-assess<\/strong> their supply chain. This tool allows Agilit\u00e9 to gain a clearer picture of their <strong>suppliers&#8217; ecosystem<\/strong>, pinpoint the need for progress and create a solid foundation for future collaborations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through this project, Agilit\u00e9 was able to \u2018screen\u2019 partners who were\/weren\u2019t willing to collaborate towards more<strong> sustainable business practices<\/strong> \u2013 gaining oversight on who was aligned with its wider business ambitions, and those open to <strong>evolution<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of Agilit\u00e9\u2019s goals is to be an ally in the sustainable transition in the construction industry. Their objective is to strengthen its <strong>business relationships<\/strong> through value alignment but also through <strong>collaboration<\/strong> and shared experience to help its business partners <strong>grow sustainably<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Allowing Agilit\u00e9 to review all commercial links, the project also helped to establish a<strong> sustainable foundation<\/strong> for its purchasing department. Agilit\u00e9 now has policies and procedures in place that regulate and <strong>structure procurement<\/strong> \u2013 including a \u2018<strong>responsible procurement policy<\/strong>\u2019, \u2018<strong>modern slavery policy\u2019<\/strong> and \u2018<strong>supplier code of conduct\u2019<\/strong>.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As previously said, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abeautifulgreen.com\/en\/services\/responsible-procurement\/\"><strong>sustainable procurement process<\/strong><\/a> is a continuous improvement activity.
